In Marl, in the Ruhr area, about 100 WWII-bunkers can be found in the middle of a residential area. They were built by the chemical plant “Buna Werke Hüls” for the workers and their families and could accommodate twelve people each. Today, they are useless relics, standing in gardens and between the houses.

Mitten in einer Wohnsiedlung in Marl, im nördlichen Ruhrgebiet, stehen etwa 100 Zwölf-Mann-Bunker. Erbaut im 2. Weltkrieg für die „Buna-Werke Hüls“, stehen sie heute als nutzlose Betonrelikte in Gärten und Vorgärten.
